ÖWAV Seminar: “Water Law for Practice”

Together with the Austrian Water and Waste Management Association (ÖWAV), we, Haslinger / Nagele, are organizing the annual ÖWAV seminar “Water Law for Practice.” Here, you will receive a comprehensive overview of the legal developments of the past year as well as an outlook on future legislation and current judicature concerning water law. This event will keep you reliably “up-to-date” in water law!

This year, the focus will be on the following topics:

• Union law aspects: A representative of the European Commission will report on current initiatives, including the new Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) and the Environmental Crime Directive.
• Questions regarding water law enforcement: Discussions on “Objectives and conflicting goals in water law proceedings” as well as water cooperatives and the expiry of water rights.

The event will be moderated by Wolfgang Berger. In the course of the event, our experts Mario Laimgruber and Julius Ecker will give a lecture in Block III on the topic “Janus-faced Nature of Water Cooperatives – Solutions for Practice” starting at 3:30 PM.
