Workshop on Climate and Health in the Alps

CIPRA Austria and the Institute of Environmental Law at the Johannes Kepler University Linz are organizing a workshop on June 17th, 2025, at the JKU dedicated to the topics of climate protection and climate change adaptation measures in connection with the health and quality of life of the local population. The central basis is the Tenth Report on the State of the Alps by the Alpine Convention.

Three of our experts will also be speaking at the workshop:

At 11:00 a.m., A nna Obereder will provide insights on the topic of “Individual Legal Protection for the Population”.
At 11:45 a.m., Wilhelm Bergthaler, together with Katrin Brennsteiner from the Municipal Authority of Linz, will give a presentation on “Climate Protection and Climate Change Adaptation in Approval Procedure”.
At 1:45 p.m., Emil Nigmatullin will give an overview of “RED III in the Context of the Alpine Convention”.
