Dr. Reka Krasznai

Associate


Reka Krasznai studied law at the University of Vienna and at the Université de Genève (Switzerland). After completing her mandatory year of legal clerkship in the judicial district of the Higher Regional Court Vienna, Reka worked in the public sector for nine years: first in the Ministry of Environment, Department for Waste and Contaminated Sites Law, then in the Ministry of Tourism, Department for Tourism Policy. As part of her training in the public service, Reka worked for the European Commission in Brussels for six months. Besides her work at the Ministry, Reka Krasznai wrote a PhD thesis on the legal definition of waste and the end-of-waste status, for which she was awarded the Austrian Environmental and Technology Award 2019.

In November 2020, Reka Krasznai joined Haslinger / Nagele as an Associate. She regularly publishes on environmental law related issues and is a lecturer at the FH Campus Wien.
