Legal 500 EMEA 2025: rise for Haslinger / Nagele

The Legal 500 EMEA 2025 ranking has been published! Haslinger / Nagele has been recognized in several categories – with a total of four practice groups and ten individual lawyers highlighted. This ranking once again reflects the experience and expertise of our competent and dynamic team. At Haslinger / Nagele, tradition meets innovation.

Recognitions were awarded to the respective teams in Public Economic & Constitutional Law, Public Construction Law, Antitrust, Competition & State Aid Law, Public Procurement Law and Criminal Defense & White-Collar Crime Law.

In the category Administrative Law and Public Sector, the teams led by Wilhelm Bergthaler received the highest rating with TIER 1. Four individual lawyers were recognized in this category: Wilhelm Bergthaler (Hall of Fame), Wolfgang Berger and Martin Stempkowski (Practice Heads), and Mario Laimgruber (Leading Associates) as Key Lawyer..

Furthermore, Haslinger / Nagele has moved up to TIER 2 in the category Dispute Resolution: White-Collar Crime. From the „very experienced and competent ” practice group, René Haumer and Bernd Wiesinger (Next Generation Partners) are highlighted as Practice Heads and Wolfgang Moringer is recognized as a Key Lawyer in the ranking. Special emphasis is placed on the diverse expertise of René Haumer, described as a “name to note for internal investigations and administrative criminal law ” as well as Bernd Wiesinger “whose areas of expertise include the defense against allegations of balance sheet falsification and bribery”.

Particular emphasis is placed on the expertise of Wolfgang Berger as a “specialist in environmental impact assessments and broader construction matters” and Roland Zauner “whose practice covers construction and regional planning law”.

In the category of EU and competition, the team led by the three Practice Heads Martin Oder – “who focuses on follow-on damages procedures” –, antitrust specialist Martin Stempkowski, and Alexander Hiersche – “an expert in state aid law” – achieves TIER 4.
