Whether prevention or follow-up – we support companies and their managers in the implementation and improvement of their compliance systems to minimise both risk and liability but also help them to complete a legally robust internal follow-up of compliance violations.

The legal standards that companies and management bodies need to maintain are becoming increasingly complex and being enforced ever more strictly. We have interdisciplinary teams to help clients identify the multitude and scope of obligations they are expected to fulfil and the related risks. Furthermore, we develop customised compliance programmes so as to ensure conformity with internal rules and legal requirements. In order to enable effective implementation of compliance measures in business enterprises and to sustainably improve corporate culture, we help our clients to develop and carry out practice-based and interactive training courses as well as accompanying communication measures and to devise and implement risk-oriented compliance stress tests that rate the effectiveness of the measures taken. In addition, we assist our clients in conducting internal investigations (that stand up in court) after compliance violations have occurred, be it as independent investigators or as members of the client’s own task force, and in the subsequent enforcement or repudiation of compensation claims. Moreover, our compliance experts provide assistance when a company’s premises are to be searched. They give advice and represent companies in dealings with prudential and investigative authorities.
