Comprehensive commentary on the Digital Services Act (DSA)

Mathis Fister and Markus Gaderer have provided commentary on a total of seven of the 93 articles for this comprehensive commentary.

The Digital Services Act (DSA) is one of the European Union’s most important regulatory initiatives and is having a lasting impact on the legal framework for digital services in Europe.

We are therefore all the more pleased that two lawyers from Haslinger / Nagele have contributed to the newly published comprehensive commentary on the Digital Services Act.

Published by MANZ Verlag, the comprehensive commentary systematically analyzes all provisions of the DSA and offers legal practitioners sound guidance in applying a set of rules that imposes far-reaching new legal requirements on providers of online services, platforms, and search engines.

Our experts provided commentary on a total of seven articles of the regulation:

Mathis Fister, who is also the editor of the publication, covered Articles 89 through 93 of the DSA. These provisions make up the final Chapter V (“Final Provisions”) of the regulation and govern, among other things, its entry into force, scope of application, and implementation.

Markus Gaderer provided commentary on Articles 30 through 32 of the DSA. These provisions concern online marketplaces that enable the conclusion of distance sales contracts with consumers and contain key due diligence and transparency obligations for platform operators.

The contributions of Mathis Fister and Markus Gaderer once again underscore the close collaboration between academia and practice at Haslinger / Nagele. After all, sound legal advice arises where academic expertise and practical experience come together.

We warmly congratulate them on the publication of this significant contribution to European digital law scholarship.
