Riesz has been with Haslinger / Nagele at the Linz office since February 2017. His practice focuses on public economic law, in particular construction and infrastructure law as well as health law. This year, he was recognized as a Key Lawyer by Legal500 for his broad advisory expertise, which also includes data protection and telecommunications law.

Prior to joining the firm, Riesz worked for several years as a university assistant at the Institute of Constitutional Law and Political Science at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. He later became deputy head of the Department of Public Economic Law there. After completing his doctorate in the field of health and data protection law with his award-winning dissertation on medical confidentiality, he completed a one-year assignment at what is now the Regional Administrative Court of Upper Austria, where he gained valuable experience essential to his legal practice.
As an Equity Partner at Haslinger / Nagele, Riesz continues his commitment and analytical expertise in the field of public law, particularly in construction and infrastructure law, while further expanding the public law division at the Linz office, including the newly established Life Sciences and Health Law practice group. Staying true to his academic roots, Riesz regularly publishes, serves as an editor of several scientific works, and is a frequent speaker. Since January 2024, he has also been a member of the editorial board of the Journal for Medical and Health Law.
