Public procurement law: Threshold Value Regulation issued

We can breathe a sigh of relief – the Threshold Value Regulation will be extended!

The Federal Minister of Justice has ordered the extension of the Threshold Value Regulation until the end of 2025 – this brings legal certainty and an early Christmas present for many contracting authorities.

The threshold values provided for in the BVergG 2018 for direct awards without prior notice, restricted procedures without prior notice for supply and service contracts and negotiated procedures without prior notice will be increased or maintained at EUR 100,000 until December 31st, 2025.

All that remains is to wait for the approval of the federal states and then the amended regulation can be announced in time.

If you have any questions about the Threshold Value Regulation or other procurement law topics, our procurement law team will be happy to help you.
