DEEP DIVE into the ElWG draft

In terms of content, the ElWG draft takes into account many of the industry’s key concerns that the association has long been calling for. These include regulations for flexible connection concepts, transparency regarding available grid capacities and the mandatory implementation of distribution network expansion plans. Despite the successful integration of many important points, there is still room for optimization to create a long-term basis for the electricity grid transition and thus the substantial expansion of photovoltaics in the coming decade. This applies in particular to the legal framework surrounding flexible system access.

As the ELWG draft provides for significant innovations, particularly in the area of direct marketing and community energy, the Austrian Photovoltaic Association has asked Kaleb Kitzmüller to present the innovations in this area. In the two-part video series, he specifically addresses the innovations of the ElWG draft with regard to Power Purchase Agreements and Peer-to-Peer contracts.

You can find the two-part video series here.
