On September 1st, 2025, the new practical handbook “Project and Process Management for Environmental Projects: Plan Sensibly, Implement Successfully: With Common Sense to Project Success” by Mario Laimgruber and Christian Bellina will be published by Austrian Standards plus GmbH – a must-read for anyone aiming to realize environmental projects efficiently and sustainably.

Whether power plants, infrastructure, or other environmentally relevant large-scale projects: The challenges are complex and the approval processes often lengthy. About the authors

Mario Laimgruber is an Attorney-at-Law and Partner at Haslinger / Nagele Rechtsanwälte GmbH. He advises and represents clients on all facets of environmental law. His practice focuses in particular on extensive and complex environmental impact assessment and administrative proceedings as well as administrative criminal proceedings. Mario Laimgruber specializes in EIA law, water law, heavy current route law, operating plant law, public building law, regional planning law, nature conservation law, waste management law, forestry law, mineral resources law, and other relevant areas of substantive law. He also focuses on supporting the successful implementation of projects, including enforcement and compensation proceedings.

With over two decades of experience in environmental management and project coordination, Christian Bellina has played a key role in the successful implementation of numerous large-scale projects in the field of energy infrastructure. As head of the “Permits and Habitat Management” team at Austrian Power Grid AG, he is a central figure in driving the energy transition. Christian Bellina is known for his pragmatic approach and his ability to manage complex projects efficiently. His commitment to environmental protection and his passion for sustainable development are reflected in all his projects. Alongside his professional career, Christian Bellina dedicates himself with passion to traditional martial arts. For him, martial arts and project management share more common ground than one might expect at first glance. Both require discipline, clarity, respect, humanity, and the ability to approach challenges in a structured yet flexible way. His experience in martial arts helps him stay calm in stressful project situations, act with a solution-oriented mindset, and inspire teams with a clear vision.
