Code of Criminal Procedure – Linz Commentary

Only recently the Linz Commentary on the Code of Criminal Procedure has been published by the “Verlag Österreich”. The commentary was edited by Univ.-Prof. Alois Birklbauer (Johannes Kepler University Linz), our Partner René Haumer, Rainer Nimmervoll and Norbert Wess. More than 50 authors contributed to it, including our Partner Fabian Blumberger and Attorney Bernd Wiesinger. Both contributed significantly to the success of the work by commenting on numerous legal passages. The aim of the commentary is to provide a practice-orientated tool that offers a quick overview of the current case law for everyday working life.

On the occasion of this publication, the “Verlag Österreich” conducted an interview with the editors. In it, Partner and co-editor René Haumer speaks about current developments in criminal law, penalty levels and opportunities as well as dangers of new methods in modern criminal proceedings.
