Representing interests and protecting innovation

Daniela Huemer, together with Univ.-Prof. Martin Karollus (JKU Linz) and Judge Theresa Haglmüller (Higher Regional Court Linz), has comprehensively updated the well-established Casebook on Commercial and Corporate Law. It is now in its eighth edition and contains a series of exam questions and short cases including answer keys for students as well as for trainees to prepare for the respective exams. Recent developments in legislation, judicature and academic discussions are taken into account up to July 2026, as much has changed since the last edition of the casebook:
It builds on the systematic approach of Rieder / Huemer, Corporate Law, and thus provides a valuable supplement for students in the form of a case-based workbook.

“The aim of the casebook is to provide a useful study resource that supports students and Associates in preparing for their exams through case studies and to compactly summarize numerous rulings and legal principles from the highest courts.”
Daniela Huemer, Partner
With a total of 483 short case studies and exam questions, students and other exam candidates therefore have access to a textbook that is both exam-relevant and practice-oriented. Both works are also frequently used in practice as primary reference works, particularly because they clearly illustrate the legal situation using straightforward (practice-relevant) cases.
