Austria is currently working on a federal law to phase out fossil-fueled heat supply (Renewable Heat Act – EWG; 212/ME) – a part of the energy transition that has often been neglected in the public (expert) discussion so far.

If the heat transition is to be successfully implemented, this can only take place within a solid regulatory framework that sufficiently takes all relevant interests into account. Austrian lawyers speak up for your right and are actively involved in assessment procedures for draft laws to ensure this very framework from the perspective of experience and practice and, if necessary, to make appropriate recommendations.

In line with the all-round approach of our practice group 360° Renewable Energy, we are pleased that the Austrian Bar Association (ÖRAK) has asked RA Mario Laimgruber and RAA Emil Nigmatullin to be available as official speakers with regard to the review of the Renewable Heat Act and to write down their thoughts on the ministerial draft.
