Update: checklist for successful PV system project implementation in Upper Austria
The implementation of a photovoltaic (PV) system presents companies with numerous challenges. Legal hurdles are complex and diverse – ranging from zoning requirements and approval procedures to funding opportunities. A structured and well-thought-out approach is key to success.
For this reason, the 360°Renewable Energy practice group, in cooperation with the Upper Austrian Economic Chamber, developed a checklist for the successful realization of PV projects for the first time in 2022 and 2023. This checklist has proven to be a valuable tool for numerous project applicants.
Due to new legal requirements for the realization of PV projects in Upper Austria and changes, especially in the area of subsidies, this PV checklist has been updated. The new version is now available to provide project applicants with the best possible support.

Photovoltaic systems play a key role in a successful energy transition. A sustainable energy supply is also increasingly becoming an economic necessity. The PV checklist is designed to assist all businesses in realizing PV projects in Upper Austria, regardless of whether it’s a small or large-scale system, a rooftop installation, a ground-mounted system or a specialized agrivoltaic installation.
The PV checklist also contains valuable tips and information on securing land under civil law and on power supply contracts/power purchase agreements (PPA).
