Laura Viechtbauer: Comment on SCJ decision

For the current issue of the Journal of Criminal Law, our Associate Laura Viechtbauer wrote a commentary on the topic of “Limits of the court’s decision-making authority in the appointment of an expert witness in preliminary proceedings“.

In it, she addresses the fact that the request for the appointment of an expert witness in the context of judicial evidentiary hearings does not give the accused a say in whether an expert witness is appointed.
