RdU: data centers and EUTR/EUDR Due Diligence Regulation

EUTR/EUDR Due Diligence Regulation

In its November 13th, 2025, ruling in case C-117/24, JYSK, the ECJ held that mere access to a due diligence system established by the parent company or by a monitoring organization engaged by it is not sufficient. Although the decision was issued in relation to the Timber Regulation, it also has implications for the future obligations under the Deforestation Regulation [Regulation (EU) 2023/1115; EUDR].
