Sustainably successful in procurement procedures

Johannes Hartlieb and Thomas Baumgartner, Attorneys-at-Law, have explained in the daily newspaper “Die Presse” which compliance structures are needed to achieve sustainable success in procurement procedures.

It is no secret that companies today face a multitude of regulations shaped by national laws, EU directives, and international standards. In recent years, the legal framework for businesses has tightened considerably, making it increasingly difficult for management bodies to keep track of the numerous regulations affecting daily operations.

“Failure to adhere to compliance regulations in the context of procurement procedures can have serious consequences for companies.”

Thomas Baumgartner, Attorney-at-Law and certified compliance officer

Companies increasingly need to demonstrate not only price and quality in tenders, but also that strict compliance rules have been implemented within their organization. Establishing appropriate structures, taking preventive measures, and acting proactively are essential not only to meet minimum requirements, but to gain the trust of business partners, customers, and the public, thereby securing a long-term competitive advantage.

“Compliance is not just a legal obligation, but an opportunity to position oneself as a reliable partner with integrity.”

Johannes Hartlieb, Attorney-at-Law
