Every year, families face seemingly insurmountable challenges when a life-changing or life-impairing illness affects a family member. Since 1998, Sterntalerhof has been a beacon of hope with a mission: to create a feeling of security, confidence and joy of life for children and their families who have to learn to deal with complex health situations together.

Sterntalerhof is more than just a hospice for children and families – it is a beacon of humanity for families in their most difficult moments of life. For over 25 years, this special organization has been supporting families with children who are coping with serious chronic illnesses, rare syndromes or complex health conditions.

What Sterntalerhof does

• Inpatient stays in southern Burgenland for 1-3 weeks
• Holistic support from an interdisciplinary team
• Individual support programs for families
• Nationwide network for comprehensive care
