The Restructuring and Insolvency Directive Implementation Act (<strong>RIRL-UG<\/strong> for short) is intended to facilitate the restructuring of companies and offer an alternative to out-of-court restructuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Major changes include the possible implementation of restructuring and reorganization by a vote of the majority of the affected creditors. Thereby, minorities may be outvoted and even a stay on enforcement might be obtained without their approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a recent article in the daily newspaper <strong>Die Presse<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haslinger-nagele.com\/en\/team\/michael-haiboeck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Michael Haib\u00f6ck<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haslinger-nagele.com\/en\/team\/thomas-kurz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thomas Kurz<\/a> (team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haslinger-nagele.com\/en\/expertise\/insolvency-and-restructuring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">insolvency law and restructuring<\/a>), among others, comment on the draft law.
