These questions, among others, were discussed by the climate parliament<\/strong>, which was convened by the Institute for Environmental Law<\/strong>, Linz, together with Fridays for Future<\/strong> at the JKU in Linz on September 17th<\/sup>, 2020. A keynote speech by Michaela Kr\u00f6mer<\/strong>, who represents several environmental activists in a high-profile lawsuit before the Constitutional Court, was followed by a discussion with Wilhelm Bergthaler<\/strong><\/a>, Erika Wagner<\/strong> and attorney Florian Stangl<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The results are impressive: they are scientifically processed and published. In spring 2021, a reality check is to follow on the question: What has the real parliament achieved by then?<\/p>\n

In addition to the climate parliament, Scientists 4 Future<\/strong> launched the \u201cClimate Week JKU 2020\u201d. It took place from September 21st <\/sup>to 24th<\/sup>, 2020 under the motto \u201cDie Verantwortung aller Wissenschaftsdisziplinen f\u00fcr eine bessere Klimazukunft<\/strong>\u201d (\u201cThe responsibility of all scientific disciplines for a better climate future<\/strong>\u201d).<\/p>\n

Wilhelm Bergthaler took part in a panel discussion<\/strong> on the first day, together with Univ.-Prof. Elke Sch\u00fc\u00dfler<\/strong> (Institute for Organization, JKU), Mag. Maria Buchmayr<\/strong> (Executive Department for Sustainability, JKU), Norbert Rainer<\/strong> (Regional Office Manager and Deputy General Manager Climate Alliance Austria) and Dr. Martin Hoffmann<\/strong> (Scientists 4 Future Upper Austria).<\/p>\n
