After graduating with a PhD in Law from the University of Linz, Edeltraud Muckenhuber first worked in the trading division and later on in the legal department of VOEST ALPINE INERTRADING Gesellschaft m.b.H.
In 1986 she joined the legal department of voestalpine Stahl GmbH as a senior executive, with her work focusing on environmental law with special regard to environmental permitting procedures in industrial projects for voestalpine.
In Mai 2010 she was appointed Head of Legal and Chief Compliance Officer of voestalpine Stahl GmbH being in charge of all legal and compliance issues of voestalpine Steel Division in Linz, Traisen und Texas.
In June 2021 Edeltraud Muckenhuber took her retirement and joined Haslinger / Nagele as Of Counsel in October 2021.
