Women in Law Mentoring Program

Since 2014, the Women in Law initiative has been committed to connecting women in the legal profession and promoting, advising and supporting them in their individual career paths. Partner Kerstin Holzinger supports the initiative on a voluntary basis and organizes various activities and events together with other female lawyers.

Under the auspices of Women in Law, a “mentoring program” was launched for the first time this year. Ten young female trainee lawyers who are at the beginning of their professional careers were selected from numerous applications. Each mentee is assigned an experienced female lawyer to accompany the young colleague on her way. The motto of the program is “Awaken the entrepreneur in you”. The aim of the program is to help women overcome the shyness that often exists before taking the step into entrepreneurship and thus contribute to increasing the still low quota of women in the legal profession.

On September 16^th, 2021 a “kick-off” event took place on the premises of the ÖRAK, where the program was presented and the mentors and mentees were introduced to each other. Kerstin Holzinger was on site as a representative of Women in Law and opened the event. Partner Daniela Huemer supports the program as a mentor and got to know her mentee. In addition to individual meetings between mentors and mentees, further networking events and info-talks with personalities from law and business are planned in the coming months.
