Panel discussion: “eSports, quo vadis?”

A few weeks ago, Prof. Christian Piska (University of Vienna, Institute for Constitutional and Administrative law) hosted a penal discussion on legal and social aspects of eSports.

As e-sports continue to increase in popularity, players improve their skills and strategies, teams and leagues strive to become more professional and more profitable, thereby engaging with broadcasters, sponsors and investors, various questions arise.

The panel discussing some of these questions included our Partner Alexander Hiersche (Antitrust, Competition & State Aid law), Prof. Wolfgang Brodil (University of Vienna, Institute for Employment law), Natalie Denk (Donau-Universität Krems, Center for Applied Games Research), David Ihl (Founder at LimeSoda), and Patrick Petschinka (University of Vienna, cInstitute for Constitutional and Administrative law).

A video of the discussion can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg4rCBSZjFc
