European law: The latest at a glance

In the latest issue of the specialist journal for Austrian and European business law, wirtschaftsrechtliche blätter, Cornelia Lanser and Katharina Jesse co-published an article on the topic of “European Law: The Latest at a Glance.”

They provide insights into the following topics: The finalized text of the EU-MERCOSUR partnership agreement focuses on sustainable development and combating climate change. Additionally, the latest amendments to the CLP Regulation make an important contribution to protecting human health and the environment from potential hazards posed by products or substances. The most recent case law on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline confirms the existing judicial approach regarding the application of the provisions of the EU Gas Directive. Furthermore, a preliminary ruling procedure initiated by the Commercial Court of Vienna puts Malta’s law aimed at countering Austrian gambling rulings to the test.
